Digital Banking Enhancements Are Here!

FAQ Fact Sheet

Dear Valued Customer,
The information below is meant to be helpful for the new system conversion that launched on April 23, 2021

Online Banking

Online Banking access will be suspended at 5:00 PM CST on Thursday, April 22nd, and a new system will be launched on the morning of Monday, April 26th.

User ID and Initial Password Instructions:

  1. Beginning on Monday, April 26th, when logging into Online Banking, you will be prompted for your User ID and a temporary password provided by First Bethany Bank as described next.
  2. The User ID will remain the same as your current Online Banking ID.
  3. The temporary password to access the new system is as follows: Current User ID + Last four digits of the primary account owner’s Social Security Number (SSN), or last four digits of EIN for business entities.
  4. An example of the temporary password: If your User ID is “customer99,” and the last four of your SSN is “6789,” your temporary password would be “customer996789.”
  5. You will be prompted to change the temporary password to a new one of your choosing using the security measures as outlined next.
  6. Create a new password with these minimum requirements: 8 characters, containing at least one upper case and one lower case letter, at least one number, and at least one special character (!@#$%^&*).
eStatements
  1. Currently, Online Banking provides access to 12 months of banking history and six years of e-Statement history.
  2. Your e-Statement history will not be affected by the system conversion.
Bill Pay
  1. Access to Online Bill Pay will be disabled on Wednesday, April 21st through the morning of Monday, April 26th.
  2. Future dated and recurring payments scheduled to process on April 22nd and April 23rd may be delayed until Monday, April 26th due to system enhancements.
  3. If you utilize the “eBills” function for Bill Pay, you will need to re-enroll any payees that are enrolled in this service once access resumes on or after Monday, April 26th.
Debit & ATM Cards
  1. Your First Bethany Debit Card and PIN will continue to work during the conversion weekend.
  2. If you have a SNU affinity Debit/ATM Card: You will receive a new card that will require activation and a new PIN.
ATM Access
  1. ATMs will not accept deposits after 6:00 PM on Thursday, April 22nd until the morning of Monday, April 26th, but customers can make withdrawals, transfers, and balance inquiries, until 9:00 AM on Friday, April 23rd.
  2. Access to First Bethany’s ATMs will not be available from 9:00 AM on Friday, April 23rd until sometime on Saturday evening, April 24th.
  3. For those with Automatic Overdraft Privilege, the available balance on the receipt will no longer reflect this limit.
Mobile Banking
  1. Mobile Banking services will be suspended at 5:00 PM on Thursday, April 22nd and resume the morning of Monday, April 26th.
  2. If you are using our Mobile Banking app for iOS: you should receive an update from the iOS App Store prior to using our new system.
  3. If you are using our Mobile Banking app for Android: you will need to remove the current app from your phone and search for “First Bethany Bank” in the Google Play store, prior to using our new system, on or after Monday, April 26th.
Beth Telephone Banking
  1. BETH Telephone Banking will be suspended at 5:00 PM on Thursday, April 22nd and will be restored the morning of Monday, April 26th.
  2. The first time you call the new Telephone Banking system, you must update your Telephone Banking PIN before accessing any of the menu options within Telephone Banking.
  3. You will hear the initial greeting message that walks you through resetting your PIN the first time you call. (You can select “1” at any time to access the main menu.)
  4. You will select option “3” to update your PIN.
  5. Once selected, you will be prompted to enter one of your account numbers.
  6. You will then be prompted to enter your temporary PIN. Your temporary PIN is the last four digits of your Social Security Number.
  7. You will then be prompted to create a new PIN of your choosing.
  8. Once entered, you will be prompted to confirm your new PIN.
  9. Once your PIN is updated, you will be able to inquire about and transfer funds from your valid
    accounts.
Beth Remote Deposit Capture

Beth Remote Deposit Capture will not be affected by the system changes.
